Julianne Mac
was our foundation Thoroughbred Mare that
had been
officially retired as our Farms
Nanny. She gave us three beautiful
foals, Lucky, Angel and Porsche. All are
Morgan crosses and what a combination.
Size, substance and wonderful dispositions.
Julie Ann was a Kentucky born mare with two
Triple Crown winners on her papers, War
Admiral and Count Fleet two Man O War sons. Nasrullah, the first million dollar
thoroughbred who fathered Bold Ruler who
fathered Secretariat. Native Dancer the
gray ghost won 21 of his 22 starts and was a
household name. Determine who was the first
California horse to win the Preakness in
1954. Case Ace won the Belmont and was
undefeated as a 2 year old in 1945.
Polynesian who won the preakness in 1946 and
equaled the world record. You can see
why this mare was very special to us. She was
bought from a slaughter house when she was
10 months in foal at the age of 13. To
this day I cannot understand why someone would
do something like that; she lived
the rest of her days at Gem Hill farm and
was considered the Queen. She was also
one of the smartest horses I have ever
known. Sadly she had to be put down.
Julliann Mac will allways be in our thoughts
and hearts.
